Dolly is in 3rd grade. Cowboy is in kindergarten. Dolly had a play date the other day with two other girls over to play.
At one point Cowboy was playing upstairs and I heard him repeatedly yell, “quit it! Leave me alone! I’m trying to play!” I would have intervened but he is such a toot to his sister sometimes that I thought a little turn-about was fair play. Just before I decided to give Cowboy something to do downstairs away from the melee, all three girls came thundering down the stairs and ran outside.
Cowboy sauntered down & asked permission to get on the computer, which I granted.
After a few minutes I realized I couldn’t see the girls and hadn’t heard anything from them since they went outside. I went out to check on them.
I found them all huddled behind the trailer on the far side of the garage. “What are you girls doing?” I asked.
“Sssshhhhh!” Came the reply. “We’re playing hide and seek with Cowboy. He hasn’t found us yet!”

You know you’ve played a good game of hide and seek when the hider is found hours later asleep in his hiding spot and the seeker has forgotten all about the game.
We found one of ours in a closet one day. After a frantic, four hour search. Fun times.
